WELCOME TO OUR PRACTICE

This practice was established in the early years of last century. During the 1990s the premises were extended to incorporate the adjoining house so that today all clinical facilities are located on the ground floor. Our aim is to provide a friendly and homely service from a building that can be adapted to meet the medical requirements of the 21st Century. We have two male doctors and one female doctor. We have a practice nurse and a health care assistant. Our administrative staff consists of a practice manager, a secretary / receptionist, five receptionists and a computer operator.

Attached to the practice we have health visitors, district nurses, midwife, physiotherapist, community psychiatric nurses, pharmacy advisor and advice counsellor.

This website has been designed to tell you about the practice and the services that we offer. Please read it carefully. We trust that you will find it helpful and informative.

WHEN ARE WE OPEN?

The surgery is open from 8.30am - 6.30pm Monday to Friday. All consultations with the doctors are by appointment during the following hours:

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday
  9.00am until 10.30am
  3.30pm until 5.00pm
Thursday:
  9.00am until 10.30am
  2.00pm until 5.00pm
There are no consultations with nurses on Thursday afternoons.
Please bear in mind that each consultation apointment should be limited to one condition.

GP TRAINING

This surgery is a GP Training Practice. At times, as part of their training, GP Registrars (ie qualified doctors who are training to specialise in General Practice) need to video some of their consultations with patients. These videos are then used for assessment of the GP Registrar. Some patients may therefore be invited to have their consultation with the Registrar video-taped. All patients can refuse video consultation if they so wish and this will not affect the care given to them by the surgery.
